This is limited to publicly available listing data and does not include personal contact information of the listing owner

3a. Facebook and Meta Platform Integration

We use Meta (Facebook) APIs to automatically publish property listings to our official Facebook Business Page. In connection with this integration:

  • Data We Share with Facebook: When a property listing goes live on REALTOR.ca, we may automatically publish the listing's public details (property address, listing price, property type, MLS number, and listing photos) to our Facebook Page. No personal information about the listing owner (name, email, phone number) is shared with Facebook through this process.
  • Facebook Data We Access: We access our own Facebook Page's posting capabilities through the Facebook Graph API. We do not access, collect, or store any Facebook user data from visitors or followers of our Facebook Page.
  • Permissions Used: Our Facebook integration uses the following permissions: pages_manage_posts (to publish listing posts), pages_read_engagement (to verify post status), and pages_show_list (to manage our Page). These permissions are used solely for publishing and managing property listing posts on our own Facebook Page.
  • Data Retention: Listing posts on Facebook remain on our Page unless manually removed. If a listing is sold, leased, or cancelled, the corresponding Facebook post may remain for historical/portfolio purposes.
  • Data Deletion: If you wish to have a listing post removed from our Facebook Page, please contact us at hello@rocketlistings.ca and we will remove it promptly.
  • No Selling of Data: We do not sell, license, or sublicense any data obtained from Facebook or any data published to Facebook to any third parties.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
