What selling by owner costs in Mississauga
In Mississauga your costs as an owner-seller are the listing fee, your real estate lawyer, and the commission you choose to offer a buyer's agent. The listing side of a full-service commission is what you keep; real estate commission in Ontario shows what that's worth at Mississauga prices.

Mississauga's own rules for landlords:
- Basement and second units must be registered with the city and meet the Building Code, Fire Code and zoning by-law. Registration itself is free.
- Short-term rentals need a licence ($283 a year) and are allowed only in your primary residence, for up to 30 nights in a row and 180 days a year. Fines for operating without one reach $100,000.
- Renovating with a tenant in place: for an N13 served on or after September 1, 2026, you need the city's Rental Repairs and Renovations Licence before you can evict or start work.

Can I sell my Mississauga house without a realtor?
